Day Fifthy

Day 50: Rome

Woke up and had breakfast then decided we wanted to jump on the hop off hop on bus around Rome. We walked to the Piazza Venezia Building which was the closest stop to our hotel.

Capitoline Hill:

Hilltop square designed by Michelangelo, lined with museums & offering views of the Roman forum.

We drove across a bridge on the Tiber river. We got off and walked to the St Peter's Basilica which is where the pope comes to do ceremonies. We walked around the river and found a little market area. Besides the Tiber river is the Castle San Angelo.

Got back on the bus and stayed on until the Colosseum. We jumped off with hundreds of other people and walked around. We didn't go inside because we are doing that with the tour.

We then got back on bus and got back to hotel just to refreshen. Then we were having a early dinner and decided we wanted to go to hard rock for dinner. So we got back onto the bus and got off at the stop which was closest to the hard rock. Before that stop we got to go around all the stops again and I got to get better photographs.

After hard rock we walked around the shops Via Del Corso Street. We found a entire street full of designer clothing which was so posh and we both felt under dressed hahah. The alleyways had flowers hanging near the doors. This one place had ivy hanging down the entire building it was beautiful.

We found a building which had a stunning interior which looked like it was made out of gold. From every angle I took the photographs it just looked so beautiful!! The textures, tiles and colours were so picturesque.

We had to walk back to the hotel because we missed the last bus. While we were walking back to the hotel we past the Spanish Steps.

My feet were killing by the end of the day!! Now I'm just resting my feet. Ready for another walking day tomorrow wooh :/ we are meeting the Trafalgar group tomorrow pretty nervous actually.
