Day 57: Venice
This morning we got on a boat to go to an island called Murano which has a glass factory on it. They showed us how to create a vase and a horse statue. It was incredible!! We then went into the store and they showed us all their statues they have produced. They said that none of their glasses statues are the same they make sure each one has a distinct difference.
From the island we had to get a water boat to the St Marks Square. The buildings that surrounded the water were absolutely incredible!
Went inside the St marks Bracillia Church this is where they buried St marks. It was not like the other churches we have been into this one was darker and more dramatic. The textiles on the floor and roof were incredible.
We had free time after seeing the church so we decided to do some last minute shopping around venice. I really wanted to get a charm for my bracelet and a mask. After our free time we then met Pino back at the place we left the boat. We then had an optional activity which was a lovely lunch in Barano.
Went over to the island Barano by boat which is famous for their bright coloured houses. It is their tradition if their families house was painted a certain colour that when you move out to have a house you have to paint it that colour. There were so many different colour and you would think it clashed but honestly all the colours together looked amazing!!!
Then we got to the restaurant that we were having our lunch. The building was a bright blue colour which really stood out. It was pretty busy and the tour booked out the entire back of the restaurant for us. The food they are most specialised in is fish. After lunch we had some free time to do last minute shopping before had to get back on the boat.

Tomorrow we head back onto the coach to see the leaning tower of Pisa.
