Day One of my dream trip:
It was an 11-hour flight from Perth to Doha. Surprisingly I did get quite a lot of sleep on the plane but my poor boyfriend didn't because he complained that his legs were too long so half the time his legs were on my side of the seat. The first flight I had a vegan sit next to me and it reminded me of my sister. She was so nice but she slept the entire trip almost like she was drugged up on something. Overall the first flight didn't go too slowly because we could watch movies I watched three movies and time just flew by.
When we arrived into Doha I was really worried that I was dressed very inappropriately. My sister worried me thinking that I need a scarf to wrap around my head and wear a big ass jumper but to be honest it was alright there were heaps of tourists not covered up so I didn't stress about it, and also it was like 30 degrees gahhh sooo hot thank god the aircon was working at the airport!!
The airport was huge there was artwork everywhere like a huge teddy bear made out of plastic and play equipment for kids that were weird shapes. It was stunning to look at! We had to spend 5 hours here and it was a little boring because we couldn't do any major shopping because everything was high end designer shops. My mum would fit in well here!!! Andrew and I only wished there was at least one surf shop there.
After the 5 hours were over we boarded the second plane which was completely full. I was hoping to sit next to some nice vegan again but no instead I got to sit next to a smelly fat guy while Andrew just laughed at me. The things I do for him haha. The overall flight went quickly because I just wanted to be in Cairo. I was so over flying.
When we arrived in Cairo it was stinking hot a boiling 30 degrees. We went through immigration quickly thank god and then we met up with this guy that drove us from the airport to our hotel called Le Meredian that was right near the pyramids it's stunning. When your at the swimming pool you can see the top of one of the pyramids it's beautiful.
