Day 31: Livingstone; Zambia
Today we are heading to Livingstone this is where the Victoria falls are and you can do tones of different activities.
We woke up at 5:30 to get on the truck for 6 am. We had breakfast on the road again. This time there wasn't much that I could eat so I only have bananas and apples for lunch hopefully when we get to the camp site the food is good because we don't get lunch or dinner provided for the next three days only breakfast.
The ride to Livingstone is a little bit shorter than yesterdays so when we get there we can have free time and organise what we want to do on which days. I know I definitely want to do bungie jumping, the gorge swing and white water rafting. But when we get there hopefully we can see other activities we can do.
We stopped and visited the Victoria falls national park. Usually you have to pay 20 us to get in but It was included with the tour which was good. There were trails you could walk. As soon as you get into the park you can hear the water from the falls pouring down. It was amazing!! We walked around some of the falls and crosses a bridge which was pretty slippery. One of the girls slipped on the bridge and she had a massive dirt mark on her shirt. When we were walking over the bridge we saw so many rainbows it was incredible! We then saw the bridge that you can cross over Zambia and Zimbabwe. This is where you get to bungee jump off.
Once we finished at the falls we got back in the truck and had to drive about 15 minutes until we finally arrived at the camp site. We arrived at the camp site for 4pm. When we first drove in there were monkeys all over the camp site. We had been warned not to feed them or the number of monkeys would multiple and you wouldn't be able to get rid of them.
When we arrived at the camp site we watches a video of all the activities you could do and we had to decide what we wanted to do tomorrow. Andrew and I jumped straight in and booked bungee, gorge swing and the zip line there was a package which was almost half the price it sounded incredible. A few other people did the same so we are going to do that tomorrow. We then had dinner at the camp site which wasn't provided with our tour. We have to fend for ourselves the next three nights.
I can't wait until tomorrow to go bungee jumping it's been my dream to do it!!!
Xx
