Day 24: Iringa
Today we are off to Iringa We had breakfast at 8 so had to pack our tents before 8. Then we had free time till 10 when we are getting on the bus. We walked into town to find big litres of water because don't think there would be much big bottles of water in Malawi. Town wasn't anything special a few places you could eat and shops selling food and drinks but wasn't huge! Everyone is so friendly here there were a few little children waving and saying hello and they were soo cute!!!
We got on the bus at 10 am and it's a 6 Hour long drive to head to Kisolanza farm house. This place apparently sells the best hot chocolate and chocolate brownies but I can't eat the brownies. Today is our last night in Tanzania. It has an altitude of 1600m and it is one of the main scenic areas in the southern highlands of Tanzania.
We had lunch on a bush track it had the most beautiful view of the bush and mountain surrounding the background. Every angle you moved it was stunning I couldn't stop taking photographs! For lunch we had a section of vegetable and cold meat. Nothing that fantastic but enough to fill us up for the rest of our drive.
After lunch it was a 2 and a half hour drive to the camp site. We arrived at the campsite at 3:30. We had a few hours to relax until we started to set up dinner at 5. We played a game almost like base ball which was pretty fun but we were all running around in thongs which weren't very comfortable. But it was good to play something different for a change.
The campsite used to be an old farm that the owners only used to use for personal use age until they created the camp site and lodges for people to stay in. This place is owned by a family and the family work around the farm.
After dinner we went to the bar for hot chocolates. Apparently there one of the best ones but they weren't fantastic it just tasted like milo to me!! We sat in a circle and talked about the rest of the trip and what we wanted to do in Victoria falls and then headed to bed for an early night because we have a long day of driving tomorrow!!
Tomorrow we ate driving to Malawi and crossing the boarder which will take a while. Need my beauty sleep for that.
Xx
